Truth

The truth is that revolutions don't just accept the best of the worst. The truth is that many of us are taking the easy way out. The truth is that a revolutionary choice cannot be morally incorrect. The truth is that some of us want to give up the fight because its just so hard. The truth is that we all know Shafiq should not be in the elections when he killed people, has corruption cases and there is a law, that was actually made specially for him, to prohibit him from running that was never implemented. The truth is that many of us plan to do nothing about it except voting for the MB. And the truth is that these people don't want to vote for Shafiq because he killed people, but would vote for the MB who left people dying in Mohamed Mahmoud and many times after and did nothing about it. The truth is that those people don't want to vote for Shafiq because he is against the revolution, but would vote for the MB who sold the revolution for their own benefit a long time ago. The truth is that those people don't want to vote for Sahfiq because he is part of the old regime, but would vote for the MB's candidate who said that these people from the old regime are patriotic. The truth is that MB might not be as bad as Shafiq for some of you, yet you see them as a bad choice, but would vote for them because this is the only other option.

The truth is that this is not the only other option. The truth is that you know that this choice is not the right one. The truth is you lost hope in us. The truth is that we are more powerful than anybody else. The truth is that we all know that Shafiq should not be in the run-offs. The truth is that it's up to us to take him out of it. The truth is that we are a lot of people and our fight is legitimate, we want a law to be implemented, what's more legitimate than that? The truth is that we are more powerful than we think. The truth is that we know that there were forgery cases in these elections and that we should not stay silent about it. The truth is that if we stay silent about any of these things and just vote for the MB candidate it will only lead to whoever wins treating us like slaves who accepted fraud, corruption, breaking laws and murder! The truth is that the run-offs will probably forged for Shafiq which makes it a lose-lose fight.

The truth is that there is so much we can do other than voting for a bad candidate. And this can be done starting now! Fraud cases are being sent to the elections committee, and if this doesn't work then starting the day the results of the first round are out we can make huge protests demanding implementing the law. Meanwhile all his corruption cases are coming out to the public and should be sent to court. On the elections day, the less the votes the winner gets the easier it is say that he is illegitimate. Imagine one of them winning with a percentage just above 50%+1 with a turnout of 10%. That would mean that only 5% of the voters gave him their vote. Think about what that makes of his legitimacy. Because even if the elections were forged, the percentage is going to be very low so that no one would suspect it. Imagine if 50% of the votes were annulled, how would the winner look? Wouldn't it all that make it easy to get rid of him later? Even after winning, if it's Shafiq this is no democracy. Democracy doesn't allow murders to run for presidency. The truth is that it is a very hard fight, but if you don't want to give up on the revolution then you have to fight it, and win it. Choose to do what is morally correct, not the best of the worst. The revolution will continue.
